ULI Washington UrbanPlan Committee Member

Applications for FY 21 are currently being reviewed. If opportunities remain available, we will accept applications on a rolling basis through July 31st at which time we will review and fill any remaining slots.


The UrbanPlan Committee implements ULI’s UrbanPlan program in the Washington region to high schools, universities, public officials and community leaders. It also serves as a liaison between the program and participating schools, assists with public real estate education outreach and in other program oversight capacities.

Members of the UrbanPlan Committee must commit to:

  • Attending monthly steering committee meetings or calls August – June.
  • Become trained as an UrbanPlan volunteer or, if trained, participating in periodic refresher trainings.
  • Actively volunteer in at least three (3) ULI Washington school or workshop programs per year.
  • Be available to serve as an alternate facilitator, city council member and/or table adviser as needed.
  • Assume responsibility for an UrbanPlan strategic initiative.
  • Actively promote UrbanPlan at ULI programs and share ideas and enthusiasm for the initiatives.

If not already trained as an UrbanPlan volunteer, submit an application to become one (see application on ULI Washington’s UrbanPlan web page and linked here), to demonstrate your interest in and qualifications for serving on the UrbanPlan Committee. ULI Washington’s leadership will review your application, determine your eligibility, and confirm your seat on a committee. The application period closes on May 31, 2020.

Eligibility Score

Members only. UrbanPlan asks that all volunteers and steering committee members have at least five years of experience in the real estate industry. Due to the limited number of spaces available, applying does not guarantee a spot on a committee.
