ULI Washington UrbanPlan Committee Member

What

The UrbanPlan Committee supports the delivery of ULI’s UrbanPlan program to the Washington region to high schools, universities, public officials, and community leaders. It also serves as a liaison between the program and participating schools, assists with public real estate education outreach, and provides additional program oversight.

Members of the UrbanPlan Committee must:

  • Attending monthly steering committee meetings or calls July – June.
  • Complete training to become an UrbanPlan volunteer or, if trained, participating in periodic refresher trainings.
  • Actively volunteer in at least three (3) ULI Washington school or workshop programs per year.
  • Serve as an alternate facilitator, city council member and/or table adviser as needed.
  • Assume responsibility for an UrbanPlan strategic initiative.
  • Lead or actively participate in an UrbanPlan subcommittee (e.g., Community Outreach, High School Partnerships, University Partnerships, Public Sector Relationships)
  • Actively promote UrbanPlan at ULI programs and share ideas and enthusiasm for the initiatives.

It is expected that anyone expressing interest in a ULI Washington committee maintains their ULI Washington membership status for the duration of their time on that committee.

Eligibility Score

Members only. UrbanPlan asks that all volunteers and steering committee members have at least five years of experience in the real estate industry. Due to the limited number of spaces available, applying does not guarantee a spot on a committee.
