What
The ULI Toronto Communications Committee elevates ULI’s external visibility, the ULI brand, and the global ULI mission by developing strategies, campaigns, and messaging to communicate ULI’s value to the industry, sponsors, members and the general public across many platforms. The committee is seeking new members with diverse experience in marketing or communications, editorial, social media, media relations, video, and design from a range of backgrounds. This committee works closely with others in the ULI Toronto network in order to create a cohesive communications strategy for the organization.
Expectations of Committee Members
- Be proactive in developing strategies, key messages and tactics to in order drive the organization’s visibility, membership and growth
- Build community and media networks beyond the Toronto real estate industry in order to foster inclusion and diversity
- Support ULI Toronto programs (e.g. attend major programs, webinars, invite industry contacts to participate, volunteer as a mentor, etc.)
- Be an active contributor to the committee (e.g. active participation in committee meetings, reviewing meeting minutes, completing assigned action items within set deadlines, etc.)
- Be familiar with the products and services provided by ULI and publicly promote them
- Attend 75 percent of the committee meetings per year (3 excused absences) – your participation is critical to the operations of the committee and ULI Toronto overall
- Be a ULI member in good standing
- Serve a minimum two-year term, which may be renewed
