Thank you for your interest in getting involved with ULI New York’s Local Product Councils. Please submit this application by March 31, 2025 to be considered.
- ULI New York has local product councils that cover six different subject areas
- Applicants are only allowed to apply to TWO different local product councils per year
- Applicants can only serve on one local product council at a time

What
The mission of the ULI New York Real Estate Technology and Innovation Council is to create a forum where real estate industry leaders, technology providers, and land use policy makers can collaborate to promote technology solutions and innovations that move our communities and cities forward.
Goals & Objectives
- Provide a platform for knowledge-sharing, discussion, brain-storming and problem solving among real estate and land use industry leaders, current and prospective providers of technology-driven solutions, and land use policymakers.
- Facilitate exploration of real estate and land use applications for new technologies, including applications relevant to investment, development, construction, property management, design, public sector and service provider users.
- Promote greater understanding of the opportunities and constraints relative to providing enterprise solutions to real estate corporations and land use institutions.
- Provide a forum for disseminating best practices in data management, cyber security, and technology infrastructure management with respect to real estate and land use technology solutions.
- Support the growth and development of real estate technology startups by providing exposure and access to real estate and land use decision makers.
- Foster collaboration between the real estate and technology industries and the public sector to encourage the adoption of sound land use policymaking and administration that embraces emerging technology and innovation.
Local Product Councils meet on a quarterly basis and members are expected to attend at least 3 out of the 4 meetings during the ULI fiscal year. Membership is open only to ULI Members.
Cost: The Local Product Council fee is $150/year for private members and $75/year for public, non-profit, YLG, student, or retired members.
- Attend at least 3 out of the 4 meetings per year.
- Actively participate in council meetings and the Council’s information exchange.
- Attend any program and/or event that you are involved in planning.
- Actively participate in District Council activities.
- Must maintain an active ULI membership (Full or Associate).

- Decarbonization of real estate from a government, owner/developer, and product perspective
- State of venture capital and corporate funding for proptech/CRE innovation – Where are we in the financing cycle for the real estate tech sector?
- Impact of AI on CRE
- What is one technology / data platform / creative solution that has helped you manage or acquire real estate during this more volatile industry period? If you are on the tech side, what have you seen your users doing with your technology to help them as users
How
Please complete the below form to apply for a position on the Tech Council for a one-year term concurrent with ULI’s 2026 fiscal year (July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026). ULI NY’s Council leadership will review your application, determine your eligibility, and confirm your seat on a council.
You may only serve on one Local Product Council per Fiscal Year. Given the competitive nature of the application process, if you are not selected to be on your top choice Council, you will be considered for your second choice Council.
NOTE: Due to the limited number of seats available, applying does not guarantee a spot on a council.
