What

ULI New York’s DEI Committee works to facilitate meaningful engagement and thoughtful discourse around issues of race and equity and strives to better equip our members with the necessary tools and resources to become more inclusive leaders within ULI and across the land use industry.

ULI New York’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion emphasizes the importance of diversity to intentionally engage and leverage each of our members’ different perspectives to promote the change and advancement required to better create and sustain the thriving, resilient, and equitable communities that are the foundation blocks of ULI’s mission.

Expectations of Committee Members:
  • Regularly attend committee meetings: Attend 8 out of 12 monthly meetings.
  • Attend any program and/or event that you are involved in planning.
  • Active participation in District Council activities.
  • Must maintain an active ULI membership (Full or Associate Member)

ULI NY’s DEI Committee leadership will review your application, determine your eligibility, and confirm your seat on a committee.

Why

The ULI New York District Council is the largest District Council of ULI with over 2,500 New York-based ULI members. Our ULI New York DEI Committee helps to advance this essential component of our District Council through planning and organizing of DEI-oriented programs, faciliation of DEI partnerships with external organizations, and by working with ULI New York members and our local member affinity groups to incorporate DEI within ULI’s membership and programming.
