ULI Europe UrbanPlan Volunteer

ULI Europe UrbanPlan Volunteer

What

UrbanPlan is a realistic, engaging, and academically demanding classroom-based program in which students learn about the fundamental forces that affect urban regeneration. The workshop focuses on the redevelopment of a site in a hypothetical town. The program was launched in Europe in 2014 and workshops have been held in countries including the UK, Ireland, Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Volunteers are an important part of UrbanPlan; students and teachers are overwhelmingly positive about their contribution. As the workshop is led by professional facilitators, the volunteers’ time is spent engaging with the students and offering professional advice one to-one or with small groups. In addition, volunteers serve as the “local council” that judges students’ final redevelopment plans. ULI runs training sessions for volunteers to help prepare them for the role

How

We welcome volunteers from the property industry from a range of disciplines including surveyors, planners, developers, lawyers, accountants and architects. Why
