What
UrbanPlan is a realistic, engaging exercise in which participants—high school students, university students, or public officials—learn about the fundamental forces that affect real estate development in our communities. Participants experience the challenging issues, private and public sector roles, complex trade-offs, and fundamental economics in play when proposing realistic land use solutions to vexing growth problems. The workshop focuses on the redevelopment of a site in a hypothetical district.
The programme was launched in Hong Kong, Philippines, and Singapore in March 2018.
Volunteers are an important part of UrbanPlan; participants and teachers are overwhelmingly positive about their contribution. As the workshop is led by ULI instructors, the volunteers’ time is spent engaging with the students using the Socratic Method, one-on-one or in small groups. In addition, volunteers serve as the “local council” that judges students’ final redevelopment plans. ULI runs training sessions for volunteers to help prepare them for the role.
How
We welcome volunteers from the property industry from a range of disciplines including surveyors, planners, developers, lawyers, accountants, and architects. The UrbanPlan programme is available in Hong Kong, Philippines, and Singapore, piloting in Japan. Please fill out the form below to indicate your interest.

概要
UrbanPlanは、参加者（高校生、大学生、当局者）が地域の不動産開発に影響を及ぼす基本要素について学ぶ実践的な参加型の演習プログラムです。参加者は難しい課題に向き合い官民の役割、複雑なトレードオフ、経済の基本を、シミュレーションを通じて学び、一筋縄ではいかない発展という問題に関して、現実的な土地利用の解決策を提案します。ワークショップでは、架空の街における用地の再開発に焦点を当てます。当プログラムは2018年3月に香港、フィリピン、シンガポールで実施されました。
ボランティアはUrbanPlan において重要な役割を果たします。参加者と指導者はボランティアの貢献を全面的に受け入れます。専門のファシリテーターがワークショップを主導し、ボランティアは学生のサポート役に回り、一対一で、あるいは少人数のグループで専門的な助言を行います。またボランティアは「ローカルカウンシル」役を務め、学生の最終的な再開発計画を審査します。ULIはボランティアを対象に、担当する役割に備えるための勉強会を開きます。
応募方法
測量技師、計画者、デベロッパー、弁護士、会計士、建築士など不動産業界の幅広いバックグラウンドを持つボランティアの参加を歓迎いたします。UrbanPlanプログラムは香港、フィリピン、シンガポールで実施されています。下記フォームに必要事項を記入の上、関心事についてもご記入ください。
