As part of ULI’s commitment to building and sustaining thriving communities worldwide, the ULI Center for Sustainability and Economic Performance is working to build better connections between city policymakers and the development community around sustainability topics including climate change, parks and open space, and health.
How
Summit participants attend in-person and virtual meetings with other industry and city leaders to build awareness of city sustainability goals and programs and help connect city leaders with local developers to create value-enhancing climate policies. Why
Around the world, cities, states, and national governments have passed building ordinances and codes in an effort to reduce emissions from the global real estate sector, which accounts for about 40 percent of global emissions. Participants gain connections to city officials and other senior ULI members while supporting ULI’s mission of creating and sustaining thriving communities.
